The 2022 health insurance plan that provides a seven percent decrease in premiums for employees was approved by the Neenah Joint School District Board of Education at its Oct. 5 meeting.
The plan keeps the District’s insurance with WEA Trust, maintains the Health Savings Account contribution and the Vitality wellness program. The plan also retains Delta Dental for dental insurance with a 3.7 percent increase, though dental premiums are significantly lower than health insurance.
Another action item approved a change in language to the Employee Policy Manual to allow employees to take sick leave prior to or following a holiday and still receive holiday pay. Employees do not receive holiday pay if they take personal leave or unpaid leave preceding or following a holiday.
In other action, the Board approved hires for Olga Emelyanova as a secondary educational assistant, Nicole Volkman as a health assistant at Coolidge and Megan Lehl as an educational assistant at the high school. An immediate resignation was approved for Jessalynn Bayer at Tullar and an Oct. 29 resignation was honored for Lori Casey at Washington. End-of-year retirements were approved for Debra Burmeister and Janice Koshalek at Tullar, Kim Woodkey, Shannon McHugh and Jeannine Schmidt at Wilson, Jeff Martis at Shattuck and Juli Clark at Hoover. A leave of absence was approved for Sharayah Preman at the high school.
The next meeting is set for Oct. 19.
