The 2020-21 staffing plan was approved by the Neenah Joint School District Board of Education at a brief meeting on March 17. The room was limited to 10 people total and several board members and administrators participated via phone.
Dr. Pfeiffer provided an update regarding the District's response to the COVID-19 outbreak and the plan for Digital Learning Days. She also noted that the state is still planning to hold the election on April 7.
The staffing plan includes a request for an additional 5.29 FTE of certified staff positions and an additional 2.5 FTE of non-certified staff for 2020-21. The certified staff positions include an additional fifth grade teacher at Taft, an elementary social worker, 1.5 FTE for Special Education positions and 1.79 FTE in additional grades 6-12 staffing. The non-certfied staff positions include an additional 1.5 FTE for sign interpreters and a District Supervisor of Operations.
In other action, the board approved end-of-year resignations for Horace Mann teacher Anna Olson and Shattuck teacher Stacie Pooler. Downtown campus teacher Jayne Latreille will transfer to a non-certified position for 2020-21.
The next meeting is set for April 7. Details about how that meeting will be conducted will be announced at least a week prior to the meeting.
