The Neenah Joint School District Board of Education reviewed the 2017-18 financial audit, received an update on referendum communication and approved a number of retirements at its Feb. 5 meeting.
Abe Eisen from auditing firm, Erickson and Associates, presented a brief overview of the audit. Board members indicated they were pleased with the results of the audit and the preparation done by the business office.
Superintendent Mary Pfeiffer and Communications Manager Jim Strick provided an update on the referendum communications plan and activities during the next two months.
In action items, the Board approved end-of-school year retirements for high school teacher Mary Shandonay and educational assistant Gail Bruce, high school administrative assistant Kim Hankemeier, District computer technician Cynthia Kardong, Tullar operations staffer Penny Reitzner, District office administrative assistant Kris Solberg, Shattuck administrative assistant Jennifer Sommer and high school psychologist Ann Hatch.
Dr. Pfeiffer also noted the immediate resignation of Board member Margaret Murphy and said the Board will discuss the process of replacing her seat at an upcoming meeting.
