A proposal to shift the pay dates for all Neenah Joint School District employees was the primary topic of discussion at the District Board of Education meeting on Oct. 3.
District employees are currently paid on the 5th and 20th of each month, but the proposal will change the dates to the 10th and 25th of each month. The change helps comply with new Wisconsin Retirement System reporting requirements and also brings 12-month employees on a consistent pay schedule with 9 and 10-month employees. The 12-month employees are currently paid prior to days worked. The proposal will transition pay dates and pay amounts for 12-month employees over a six-month span. It will be voted upon at the next meeting on Oct. 17.
The only action items regarded personnel changes. Emma Santiago was approved to teach art at the high school and Shattuck. Resignations were approved for wellness coordinator Sara Tipler, effective Oct. 27, and Coolidge teacher Lisa Reineking, effective Oct. 30.
During the superintendent report, Dr. Pfeiffer congratulated the Board members for Wisconsin School Board Appreciation Week.
