Members of the human growth and development ad hoc committee provided an update of their progress to the Neenah Joint School District Board of Education at its February 7 meeting.
The committee made some revisions and additions that do not change the overall objectives and approach to sexuality education. The committee plans to report back to the Board with its completed work in April.
In action items, the Board approved retirements of four staff members. Those retiring at the end of the school year will be high school teacher Kathy Paulus, Shattuck teacher Carol Steinert, Tullar educational assistant Mary Birling and high school educational assistant Jennifer Ropella. The Board also approved policy recommendations from the ad hoc policy committee in regards to the use of cameras in school locker rooms and public attendance at school events.
The meeting was adjourned at 6:45 p.m. The next meeting is set for February 21.
