Roosevelt Earns Wisconsin School of Recognition Award
< Back
For the second straight year, Roosevelt Elementary School in Neenah has been honored as a Wisconsin Title I School of Recognition Award recipient by the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction.
Roosevelt was selected as a High-Progress School, which honors schools that fall within the top 10 percent of schools experiencing student growth in reading and mathematics and have achievement gaps that are less than three percentage points between student groups. Roosevelt was one of 135 schools statewide to earn recognition and one of 40 in the High-Progress category.
All Wisconsin Title I Schools of Recognition receive federal Title I aid because they have significant numbers of students from low-income families based on federal free and reduced price school meal income guidelines. All Schools of Recognition also meet the state’s test participation, attendance and dropout goals.
Roosevelt representatives from will be honored at a recognition ceremony at the State Capitol on May 21. The school will also receive a commemorative plaque.
