Distinctive Academic Programs:
Strong parent support is a hallmark of the Coolidge experience! Parents assist by reading to students, tutoring students, assisting in classrooms and working in the school library. Their participation at the elementary level provides a strong foundation for their efforts at the middle school and high school levels. An attitude of community service is encouraged with an annual food drive for the needy.
A well-equipped computer lab and an excellent library-facilitated reading program have helped Coolidge kids establish a tradition of high achievement test scores. Literacy goals are also supported with the use of Smartboard technology in every classroom, as well as the use of a mobile lab and iPads.
The Coolidge parent organization is organized as a PTO (Parent Teacher Organization). Some major projects include organizing skate nights, hosting an annual all school carnival, sponsoring a sock hop, and supporting a family night dinner/raffle. The organization also sponsors field trips for students, cultural events for the whole shool, and a scholarship for a Neenah High School graduating senior who is a Coolidge alumni.
Reading incentive program, Coolidge Spirit Day on Fridays, Chess Club, Suzuki strings instruction.
