Gross Named Neenah High School Softball Coach
< Back
Neenah High School didn't have to look far for a new varsity softball coach as Shattuck Middle School teacher Steven Gross has been named to the position.
Gross brings varsity head coaching experience to Neenah, having served as the head coach of the Princeton/Green Lake co-op program in 2014. He was also the varsity girls basketball coach at Oakfield High School in 2014-15.
Gross is in his second year of teaching special education at Shattuck. He served as an assistant with Neenah’s junior varsity softball and girls basketball teams this past year. A 2015 UW-Oshkosh graduate, Gross was also the head junior varsity softball coach for one season at North Fond du Lac High School and assisted with the middle school softball programs in Stevens Point during one year of teaching at Ben Franklin Junior High School.
An Oakfield native, Gross was a three-time all-conference catcher as a four-year letterwinner in baseball. He also played basketball all four years.
Gross replaces Rich Frost, who coached the Rockets for the past 15 seasons.
