Neenah High School to Perform James and the Giant Peach April 27-30
< Back
Neenah High School’s spring drama event will feature a family-friendly production with four showings of James and the Giant Peach April 27-30 in Pickard Auditorium.
The 75-minute musical is based on the popular 1961 children’s novel by Roald Dahl. Shows will be April 27-29 at 7 p.m. each night and on April 30 at 2 p.m. Admission is $10 for adults and $8 for students (K-12) and senior citizens. Tickets are available at the door one hour before the show. They are also available online at rocketplayers.com (service charge applies). Seating will be on the stage, so there is limited seating available.
The plot is based on a young English orphan boy who enters a gigantic, magical peach, and has a wild and surreal cross-world adventure with seven magically-altered garden bugs he meets. They set off on a journey to escape from James' two mean and cruel aunts.
The musical version was written by Timothy Allen McDonald with songwriting by Benj Pasek and Justin Paul.
Third grade students throughout the District will be offered the opportunity to see the dress rehearsal on the afternoon of April 26.
