Musicians: It is a Schumann Day
Do you enjoy cooking and baking delicious foods? Do you want to be a part of a club that helps others and gives back to the community? Then FCS Club is the right fit for you! Students will work in small groups to prepare delicious recipes and participate in hands-on projects to help their community. Meetings will take place one Thursday a month from 3:30-5 in room E-71 with Mrs. Woulf and Mrs. Sachs. To find out more information and to sign up for the first meeting, follow the FCS club group on schoology. Sign up info will also be posted in Shattuck Student News.
Botany Club is a group that meets once a month to grow and care for the plants in and around Shattuck. If you are interested in joining, please come to Mrs. Prosek's room, C-10, on Wednesday October 13th right after school. The meeting will go until 4pm.
NEW CLUB ALERT!!! The Remote Control Car Club is now off to the races! Join us once a week to engineer RC engines and parts while piloting the fastest RC this side of the Mississippi. Have fun, meet new friends, and best your current ones in friendly racing competitions. When? The club will meet every Wednesday, starting in October, from 3:15 to 4:00 pm in Mr. Galley's classroom (W205). The Schoology code is in the updates of Shattuck Student News.
Good morning, Shattuck! Do you like hanging out with your friends in new places? Do you like to travel? Then the New York/DC trip next June (2022) might be the trip for you! There will be an informational Zoom meeting on the corrected date of Tuesday, October 12th at 7:00pm. If you are already signed up for the trip, you do NOT need to attend this meeting. You can find the Zoom link on Shattuck Student News or by signing up for the Schoology group.
ATTENTION BOYS' BASKETBALL Players: Any 7th or 8th grade boy WHO MISSED THE MEETING LAST WEEK, should contact Mr. Ferge (E240), Mr. Resch (C68), or Mr. Proschinske (OJ Gym) to sign up and obtain the informational letter. Please take care of this As Soon As Possible if you plan to participate in basketball. Go Rockets!

Community Events
Learn to Bowl. Open to children 5-16 years old on Saturdays, Oct. 2, 9, 16, & 23 from 10 – 11am at Sabre Lanes in Menasha. This is a program for beginner bowlers which will focus on learning the basics of bowling while also having fun. Registration is required, a fee is charged. Contact the Neenah Parks & Recreation Department at 920-886-6060 for more information.
Build A Scarecrow. This annual event has become a must for families! We will provide the frame for, twine, & straw for your “adult-size” pumpkin. All you need to do is decorate your pumpkin with clothes & props that you bring from home. This takes place on Saturday, Oct. 9th from 10:30 am – 12:00 noon at the Riverside Pavilion. There is a $5.00 charge per family (must include at least 1 adult). Contact the Parks & Recreation Department at 920-886-6060 to register for this event.
A Date: Mom & Me Date Night! Join your friends as you and your Mom (or any trusted adult) at the Brigade on Friday, Oct. 22 from 5-7pm to play in the gym, make crafts, play board games, and eat pizza! Registration is required, a fee is charged. Call: 920-886-6060 to register. *A Dad & Me date night is scheduled for February.
