Enroll in NJSD

Families who reside in the District boundary may enroll. Instructions are below.

--------

NEW families to the Neenah Joint School District may register online through the web portal at the link below:

Click Here to Enroll New Students
(This includes students who have siblings already in the Neenah Joint School District)

Families may also register new students in person on a District computer at the Administration building at 410 S. Commercial Street, or at the main office of any of our schools. Picture ID of the adult registering the student is required in addition to a form of proof of residency (lease agreement, or utility bill, etc). Parents need to provide verification of the child's age and legal name. This can be through a birth certificate or passport.

Proof of Residence Documentation

The Neenah Joint School District (NJSD) works hard to accommodate all resident students in the schools in our District.  To best ensure that residents of Neenah remain a priority for attendance in our schools, the District has developed the following guidelines to establish proof of residency at the time of student enrollment.  It is the practice of NJSD to verify the authenticity of the documents provided.

In order to enroll resident students in the schools of the Neenah Joint School District, the following documentation is required at the time of enrollment:

One item from Category A or two items from Category B

Fill Out Our Census Form to Receive Mailings

Families who live in the Neenah Joint School District whose children do not attend public schools or are not yet age-eligible are invited to fill out the District's census form to be included in potential enrollment communications from the District.

The census is especially intended for parents with children under the age of four who would like to be notified of upcoming enrollment dates for four-year-old or five-year-old kindergarten. We also welcome parents of home-schooled or private-school children who may someday consider enrolling in public schools to fill out the form and have their children included in our database.

The form may be accessed by clicking here.

Before and After School Child Care

After-school child care is offered at NJSD elementary schools based on participation and staffing levels. Before-school child care is typically offered only at Clayton, Lakeview, Spring Road and Tullar. Before care hours are from 6:30 a.m. until school starts. After care hours are from school dismissal until 5:30 p.m.

The child care services are offered through the Neenah-Menasha YMCA. For more information about the programs and to register, click here for the YMCA school age child care webpage.

In compliance with Neenah Joint School District Board Policy 8330, the following is published: Information such as name, address, name of parent or legal guardian, date and place of birth, telephone listing, dates of attendance, major field of study, height and weight of members of athletic teams, year in school, school of attendance, awards, and participation in official activities or sports of students shall be considered public information and may be released to appropriate persons and media in accordance with Board of Education policy unless the parents or adult students refuse the release, in writing, of their own initiation.

Legal Annual Notices

Neenah Joint School District is required by state and federal laws to provide annual notice regarding a number of policies and procedures. We are in the process of updating the Board Policies of the Neenah Joint School District. Policies will be added here as they are completed.

Other policies are printed in their entirety in the student handbooks. You'll find any additional Annual Notices listed below. If you have any questions about district policies or notices, please don't hesitate to contact the district office at (920) 751-6800.

The Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA), reauthorized as the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) requires each state to share certain data with the public. This dashboard serves as the source for accessing Neenah’s data required under ESSA. For each data topic, you will find a brief description of the requirement and a link to the specific data or information. Click here for the ESSA Report

Surveys Requiring Consent

During the course of the school year, students will be asked to take a SAEBRS and a YRBS survey. These surveys are not a requirement and parents always have the right to opt their child out from these surveys.
