The Neenah Joint School District earned an “exceeds expectations” designation on the latest state report card, which was released on November 19, 2024 by the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction. Four Neenah Joint District schools significantly exceeded expectations and four others exceeded expectations on their 2023-24 school report cards.

It marked the third straight year the District has achieved the exceeds expectations category and sixth time in the eight-year history of the report cards.

Alliance Elementary, Clayton Elementary, Lakeview Elementary and Tullar Elementary all earned the “significantly exceeds” designation. Coolidge Elementary, Horace Mann Elementary, Spring Road Elementary and Neenah High School all earned the “exceeds expectations” designation. Neenah Middle School and Taft Elementary met expectations, while Hoover Elementary met few expectations.

This is the first year that Horace Mann Elementary and Neenah Middle School received ratings, since the District restructured for the 2023-24 school year. Hoover Elementary closed after the 2023-24 school year with most of its students moving to Horace Mann.

Report cards provide a score between 0 and 100, which is calculated by averaging the following priority areas: student achievement in reading and math, student growth, target group outcomes, and on-track readiness. Report cards use up to three years of data, including achievement data from 2021-22, 2022-23 and 2023-24.

The District earned an overall score of 72.2. Lakeview Elementary had Neenah’s highest score at 92.8. Hoover had the highest increase, improving 6.4 points from 46.2 to 52.6. Taft went up 2.9 points to 69.0 and fell one point short of the exceeds expectations category. This was the third consecutive year that Neenah High School has improved its score.
