The Neenah Joint School District Health and Wellness Center officially opened on Sept. 7, 2016. Staff members and their families are welcome to make appointments or simply walk in during open hours.
The Wellness Center offers NJSD employees and their families and opportunity to have their medical needs addressed on-site Monday through Friday. Located on the west wing of Shattuck Middle School, the Wellness Center has a private access off the parking lot on Elm Street.
Appointments may be made by calling 844-616-3556 or logging on to www.prevea.com/njsd.
A diagnostic visit for staff members results in a $25 flat fee. Physical therapy costs $35 per visit. Additional costs may be added for lab tests, but most cost $50 or less. Preventative visits are free of charge. All charges may be paid from the employee’s Health Savings Account and applied to the employee’s deductible.
Among other things, Wellness Center staff perform physical examinations, diagnose and treat acute illnesses and diagnose and manage chronic diseases such as diabetes and high blood pressure. They can also prescribe medication, order and interpret diagnostic tests, provide prenatal care and family planning services, administer injections and perform procedures such as suturing and casting.
