Jackie Munoz-Ellmann, currently principal at Clayton Elementary School, has been named the new principal at Horace Mann Middle School.
Munoz-Ellmann, who formerly taught at Horace Mann, will begin her new duties on July 1 and replaces Mike Tauscher, who resigned to take a similar position at University School of Milwaukee.
Munoz-Ellmann is in her ninth year in the Neenah Joint School District and third year at Clayton. She was hired by the Neenah Joint School District in 2006 as a special education teacher at Shattuck Middle School and moved to Horace Mann in 2008. She taught four years at Horace Mann before taking the Clayton principal position.
“Jackie is a student-focused leader who is very committed to Neenah,” said superintendent Dr. Mary Pfeiffer. “She is well-known and respected by the staff at Horace Mann, who will undoubtedly make this a smooth transition. We also thank Mike Tauscher for his outstanding service to our District and wish him the best of luck.”
Munoz-Ellmann earned her bachelor’s degree from UW-Oshkosh where she was a five-time All-American in cross country and track and field. She earned a master’s degree in administration from Cardinal Stritch University.
