Alliance Charter Elementary will celebrate the completion of its 10th year with an anniversary celebration on May 30 from 4-7 p.m.
The event will celebrate the accomplishments of Alliance’s current and former students, staff and administration. Classrooms throughout the school will be open to tour from 4-5:30 p.m. Current teachers will also be available to answer questions and children can enjoy the outdoor playground.
Alliance’s own Murphy Family Band will play beginning around 5:45 p.m. Grilled items will be available for sale along with side items, water and dessert.
Part of the Neenah Joint School District, Alliance is a free, public elementary school and opened its doors in the fall of 2004. It began with 75 students and will see its first high school graduates this spring. Alliance currently hosts 110 students from kindergarten through fifth grade and shares a building with Roosevelt Elementary School on Doty Island.
Alliance uses a Montessori curriculum while following state standards and using District objectives as a guide. The teachers have extensive Montessori training. As a charter school, Alliance is able to provide greater educational innovation and choice in public education.
Financial support for the event is provided by Alliance families, King’s Daughters of Neenah/Menasha and the Educational Foundation of Neenah. Individuals wishing to attend are asked to RSVP through the Alliance website at www.neenah.k12.wi.us/schools/alliance/10year.cfm.
