Neenah Joint School District families may register students for 2014-15 kindergarten classes during the week of February 3-7.
All registration will take place at the Neenah Joint School District Administration Building at 410 South Commercial Street. The registration is open to any child residing within the District who will be five years old on or before Sept. 1, 2014.
Registration materials may be downloaded (here) or obtained at the Administration Building, beginning on Jan. 22. Registration will take place from 9 a.m.-3:30 p.m. each day and will also be open until 6 p.m. on Tues., Feb. 4. Children do not need to attend the registration.
Parents must bring: 1) proof of a child’s age (birth certificate, baptismal certificate or passport), 2) picture ID of the adult registering the student and 3) immunization records. Parents will turn in the registration forms and complete a questionnaire concerning the child’s development and health history. Registration takes approximately five minutes per student.
Health forms should also be turned in, but can be submitted after registration week. Each child needs to have the following: 1) a physical examination form, 2) student immunization record (yellow card) and 3) eye examination form. The speech/language pathologist and school nurse will review the information provided. If there are concern's about a child's development or health, there will be an opportunity for a developmental screening with the speech/language pathologist. Parents may also request a conference with the school nurse.
Parents interested in having their child screened for possible early admission to kindergarten or first grade should call the Learning and Leadership office at 751-6800 (ext. 110) to get an application. Any questions about the registration process may also be directed to the Learning and Leadership office.
