The Neenah Joint School District Board of Education approved a $114.9 million referendum question and resolution at its Dec. 17 meeting.
The Board approved both documents unanimously with no discussion. The referendum question will be on the April 7, 2020 ballot and ask voters to consider a new high school, renovation of the existing high school to an intermediate school and a middle school and safety and security upgrades throughout the District.
In other action, the Board approved the hire of Maire Radigan as a special education teacher at Spring Road and the resignation of Emily Gauthier for the same position. End-of-year retirements were approved for Coolidge teacher Diane Weyenberg and Washington Educational Assistant Mary Bellmore.
Dr. Mike Altekruse and representatives from the HOPE program provided an overview of the program that is now in its third year serving elementary students with mental health issues across the District.
