The Educational Foundation of Neenah will honor 16 Neenah Joint School District educators in its 2018-19 “Rocketing Ahead: Celebration of Education” Teaching Awards.
Each recipient will receive a grant for classroom enhancements or professional development opportunities. The grants were created to recognize educators who have demonstrated innovative or creative classroom methods and who are involved in extra-curricular activities for their students and community. They will be honored at the District’s Employee of the Year reception on April 24.
Each school has at least one recipient of the awards with four honorees from Neenah High School.
Those honored include: Stephanie Kerrigan (Clayton), Diane Weyenberg (Coolidge), Jill Dujardin (Hoover), Rebecca VanDuser (Lakeview), Stephanie Markman (Roosevelt/Alliance), Erin Ermis (Spring Road), Michelle Robb (Taft), Dianna Ciaciura (Tullar), Erin Baus (Washington), Shannon McHugh (Wilson), Michelle Marchionda (Horace Mann), Jennifer Oeftger (Shattuck), Felicia Torres (NHS), Kylie Sieck (NHS-Downtown Campus) and Shelley Aaholm (NHS). High school at-risk teachers Brian Borchardt and Sarah Pennewell were chosen as a “team” selection.
