Non-Certified Staff Evaluation Input Now Open
|
Non-Certified staff members may provide input for their evaluation to their supervisor between today and May 1, 2017.
Non-Certified staff members either need to install FileMaker Pro on your computer if it isn't already and open the SSAPE database... Or you can access the database using a web browser, by going to this web page: http://webd.www.neenah.k12.wi.us/fmi/webd#SSAPE From here, your account name is the name portion of your District email (for example, John Smith would be john.smith@www.neenah.k12.wi.us) and your password should be your standard password that's used for email and other applications. If you need assistance, put in a help desk ticket and Bryan VonDeylen will help you.
Again, the window is open and will remain open for Non-Certified staff input until Monday, May 1, 2017. Please consider providing your supervisor with information related to your job performance.

Go365 Rewards Tax Reminder
|
Staff members may recall from the health insurance presentations during open enrollment in October that you may notice a decrease in the amount of money you take home on your paycheck if you have redeemed vitality bucks through the Go365 mall since January 1.
You will need to look at the difference in the amount of taxable benefits on your paycheck. With the new health insurance plan this year, you are required to pay taxes on the value of any Go365 rewards that you redeem. As you redeem rewards, the District gets a notice from Go365 of the value of that redemption. That value will then show up on your paycheck within 1-2 months of redemption as a taxable benefit titled "GO365 REWARDS." This only happens when you shop through the Go365 Mall. You are not taxed on the bucks that are earned and not yet redeemed.
The reason for the change is that the program is no longer attached to the District insurance plan. IRS rules dictate that if a rewards program is purchased independently, the rewards become a taxable benefit for the employee.

New Staff Laptops are Coming Soon
|
New laptops AND passwords are coming!
The new MacBook Air laptops have been delivered and we are now processing (un-crating, labeling, inventorying, etc.). A schedule is being developed for your building and that will be communicated to you when it is ready (there will be plenty of notice prior to delivery/swap day).
In general, plan on the week after your building finishes FORWARD testing.
Thank you to all who took advantage of us, to help clean up files on your current desktop and hard drive. That will be very helpful to all of us as we are moving forward. We will be using a similar process for swapping laptops. Meaning, we will schedule days in each building and be available before school, during lunch and after school.
ALSO -- at the "clean up your laptop meetings," we discussed changing your password (you will pick your own) when the laptop switch is made. We are requiring that all staff change passwords this Spring and this will be the perfect time to do so! This is a necessary network security issue!
You will choose your own password. It will be a GREAT idea to use a combination that includes: lower case letters, UPPER CASE LETTERS, numbers (0123456789) and $y~bo!$ (@#$%&*).
Check out last week's Tech Tip for more on creating passwords
