Insurance Open Enrollment Meetings Scheduled
|
Open Enrollment meetings to sign up for the new insurance plan will be held at the following locations and times. Employees are strongly encouraged to attend. This is your annual opportunity to make changes to your benefits package to ensure you and your family have the right coverage to meet your needs. Representatives from WPS and Willis will be available at each meeting to answer questions. Note that some of the previously communicated sessions have been cancelled since so many staff members will be attending the session on November 4.

All insurance information and forms may be accessed on the Insurance Benefits Information page of the NJSD staff website. Open enrollment paperwork is due to Jennifer Carstens in the benefits office November 18.

Making Changes to HSA or 403B/457 Contributions
|
For those interested in making changes to their HSA, 403B or 457 payroll deductions, all forms can be found on the Staff Resources page of the NJSD website. The HSA Payroll Deduction Authorization form is located on the "Insurance Benefits Information" page. The 403B and 457 Wage Deferral Agreements can be found on the "Retirement Benefits Information" page. Be sure to fill out two of these forms if you are making a temporary change (one or two payrolls) to the contribution amount. Please contact Jen Carstens in Human Resources with questions.

Infinite Campus Unavailable on November 4
|
Infinite Campus will be down for maintenance from 7 a.m.-noon during the Professional Learning Day on Friday, November 4 for server updates.

Helping Hands Craft Fair Set for Saturday
|
Neenah High School’s annual Helping Hands Craft Fair is set for Saturday, November 5 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Ron Einerson Fieldhouse.
Over 100 fine arts and crafts vendors will display a wide variety of goods, including painting, sculpture, prints, drawing, clothing, jewelry, metal work, glass, leather, fiber, wood, photography, handmade paper and ceramics. The event also features a used book sale and concessions provided by Girls Athletics in Neenah. Admission for the entire day is $2 per person.
All proceeds from the event go to support students and families in the Neenah Joint School District in urgent financial need during the holiday season..

NJSD Hall of Fame Nominations Now Open
|
Nominations for the Neenah Joint School District Hall of Fame are being accepted through Nov. 30. Anyone is invited to nominate individuals for the third annual induction class, which will be inducted during homecoming weekend in 2017.
In order to submit a nomination, individuals may go to the NJSD Hall of Fame website. Nominations may be made through an online form. The nomination form can also be printed and submitted through the mail or in-person at the District Administration Building at 410 S. Commercial Street.
The Hall of Fame is open to anyone who graduated from Neenah High School or had an association or employment with the District. It is designed to recognize individuals from a variety of different backgrounds. The only requirements are that nominees must be graduated from Neenah High School for at least 20 years or retired from the District for at least five years.

Wrestling Team Hosts Open House on November 3
|
The Neenah Wrestling Program is hosting an open house on Thursday, November 3 from 5:30-7 p.m. to showcase the new wrestling training facility. The new wrestling facility at Neenah High School includes new wrestling mats and wall pads, false sub floor, a 30-foot wall of champions, new record boards, door wraps, storage cabinets, surround system and a student study area.
Tables will be set-up at the open house for those interested in gaining information regarding our Youth, Middle or High School wrestling programs.
We welcome anyone in the Neenah or surrounding communities to stop in to see the new training facility and to find out more information regarding the Neenah Wrestling program.

High Cliff Volunteer Opportunities
|
High Cliff State Park has some ongoing fall projects needing volunteers. Families, school groups, Girl and Boy Scout troops and all ages are welcome to drop in the office Tuesdays–Saturdays and Sundays from 10 a.m.-4 p.m.
1. Tower Graffiti Clean-up (not recommended for young children)
2. Leaf Raking in Campground (recommended for all ages)
3. Leaf Raking near Pavilion and Ski Lot Bathrooms (recommended for groups)
All projects are on a drop-in basis, volunteers can stop in at the office to receive materials.
Also, with the opening of a Nature Room inside the park office, the park is looking for a few volunteers to help load and unload materials in the storage room and at the old nature center attached to the General Store on Tuesdays and Fridays in November.
Please contact Sarah Chisholm if interested in either activity with the date and time you are available.
