Happy Thanksgiving NJSD Staff!
|
We have emphasized the importance of gratitude this month and I've seen many examples, including having gratitude trees in many of our buildings. It's so exciting to see all of the things you are grateful for as a staff.
Personally, I am so grateful for you and all you do! On behalf of our entire District, I would like to wish you and your families a Happy Thanksgiving and hope you are able to relax and spend quality time during the holiday weekend. Please feel free to leave after your students have been dismissed for the day on Wednesday, November 23 to get started with your Thanksgiving holiday.
Thank you for the significant impact you continue to make on our students, families and community. Due to all your efforts and commitment, Neenah is truly a special place! I appreciate you!

W-2 Wage and Tax Statement Information
|
Please login to Skyward between November 17 and December 31 to choose the delivery method for your 2016 W-2 Wage and Tax Statement. The District is encouraging every employee to elect the electronic form of delivery for this important tax document. Those electing electronic delivery of this statement will be able to login to Skyward, download their statement and have it immediately in early January. If you choose to have your statement delivered in paper format, it will be available for you to pick up at District Office starting the last week of January.
To select your W-2 delivery method, go the NJSD website, click on "staff resources" in the upper right, scroll down to "Skyward" and login to Skyward (or just click here). Your username and password should be the same as your computer login. Once you are logged in, you will immediately be prompted to select your W-2 delivery method - you can choose, paper, electronic, or you can ask to be reminded again later. You will have until December 31 to make this choice.
If you choose electronic delivery, you can print this statement at your building. If you have any questions, please contact Pam Jaenke via email or at extension 10106.

Special Olympics Basketball Event on November 17
|
One of Neenah High School’s most uplifting annual events takes place on Thursday when the Special Olympics basketball team takes center stage with the varsity boys basketball team.
The Special Olympians will compete in a skills competition with members of the varsity basketball team starting at 7:30 p.m. in the Ron Einerson Fieldhouse. The Special Olympics team will then take on a faculty all-star team in an exhibition game. A unified dance team consisting of varsity athletes and Special Olympics athletes will perform at halftime.
This year marks the third straight year the Special Olympians have been part of the basketball team's “Meet the Rockets” night. The event promotes inclusion of all students at Neenah High School and typically brings out a loud student cheering section.
The boys basketball team will be introduced and will compete in a scrimmage at 6 p.m. The Special Olympics event that follows is titled, “Phase 2 Black.” The event is free admission, however, donations toward Special Olympics will be accepted.
