District Report Cards

The Neenah Joint School District is dedicated to fostering continuous growth and improvement, reflecting our commitment to creating a Neenah for All. One key resource that guides our reflection on strengths and areas for growth is the School Report Card. Each year, the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction (DPI) issues School and District Report Cards for all public schools and districts in the state. These report cards provide valuable performance data to help schools and districts strategically focus their improvement efforts, ensuring students are prepared for college, careers, and their futures.

The current School Report Card is primarily based on last year’s performance, the 2023-24 school year.  Four priority areas are evaluated and scored in order to determine each school’s overall score:

  • Student Achievement measures performance in English Language Arts (ELA) and mathematics on the annual state assessments.
  • Student Growth measures year-to-year progress in ELA and math performance, highlighting how students improve compared to their peers statewide.
  • Target Group Outcomes compares the performance of targeted students to their peers across the state, focusing on those in the bottom 25% of achievement.
  • On-Track Readiness measures key predictors of student progress toward graduation, including attendance, graduation rates, and academic achievement milestones.

The priority area scores are used to calculate an accountability score from 0 to 100. Based on this score, a school or district receives one of five ratings, from Fails to Meet Expectations to Significantly Exceeds Expectations, as well as a corresponding one to five-star rating.

The Neenah Joint School District is proud to announce that our district earned the Exceeds Expectations designation for the 2023-24 school year. Four out of our 11 schools were rated as Significantly Exceeds Expectations, four were rated Exceeds Expectations, and three out of five Title I schools were rated as Exceeds Expectations.

Our district and school report cards, along with explanatory resources, can be accessed at the links below.

These report cards are just one of several sources of information about our District and our schools that we continuously use to reflect on and improve. If you have any questions related to a specific school’s report card, please feel free to contact the school’s building principal.
