Question: What time does school begin?

Answer: The first bell rings at 8:05 AM. Students must be in the classroom by the second bell at 8:15 AM.

Question: Where do I drop my child off at Hoover?

Answer: K/1 students should be dropped off on Zemlock by the front playground. Second-Firth Grade students should be dropped off on Hunt Avenue on the back playground.

Question: If my child is sick, how do I notify school?

Answer: Parents who have student swho are sick and unable to attend school should contact the office immediately. You will need to provide your child's name, teacher, and a short description of the illness.

Question: When does school end?

Answer: School ends at 3:05 PM unless it is the last day of the week. Then the dismissal is 2:15 PM, unless noted on the school calendar.

Question: Where do I pick my child up at Hoover?

Answer: Parents are welcome to park in a marked stall in the parking lot and enter the building. Parking is also available on Zemlock Avenue and Hunt Avenue. Families wll not be able to walk in the hallway until the dismissal bell rings.

Question: What if we make changes to the pick-up plan during the day? how do we get word to our child?

Answer: Call the main office to get a message to your student. Do not email or try to contact a teacher directly as they are busy instructing during the school day.
