MRS. BENSON'S MESSAGE - Last week was a week of highs and lows for me, to say the least. On Friday, the staff and students planned a surprise assembly for me and it was definitely a huge surprise!! I could not have been happier!! The poems, songs, and cheers were just too sweet! As they sang and spoke, I had tears welling up in my eyes. The tears were tears of joy because I just love your kids and Clayton School so much! But they were also tears of sadness because that morning, unbeknownst to them,  I had turned in my letter of retirement effective June 30. It is hard for me to believe that I am at that time in my life. I wonder where the years have gone! My time in the Neenah Joint School District has been the best! The staff, students, parents, and others that I have met during the past eighteen years will always have a special place in my heart and I will miss them more than words can express. I can assure you that I am not done working; just done for the time being. I am looking forward to new adventures and opportunities in the years ahead. Please know that I have so appreciated knowing all of you and working with your wonderful children. My heart is breaking as I think about leaving Clayton, but the time has come and I am confident that Clayton will be in good hands for the coming years! Now, let's enjoy these last exciting weeks of the school year with so many fun activities ahead!!

NOTES FROM THE MEDIA CENTER TO PARENTS AND STUDENTS - In order to do a thorough library/computer inventory, all student books/magazines checked out from Clayton Media Center will be due back to the library on or before  Friday, May 18. Students, please remember to clean your desks, rooms and backpacks and return all books and magazines by that date.  Thanks! Mrs. Miller.

GUIDANCE NOTESIt is said that with every ending, there is a new beginning. It has been both a pleasure and a privilege to serve as the Clayton School Counselor for 22 years. During this time, I have had the honor to work with many fine students, colleagues and families. I have watched families of children grow up to have families of their own. My experiences teaching and counseling Clayton children have been rich and full. For that reason, I feel deep regret that the time has come for me to retire. I hope to be able to spend more time with my family and also continue working as a counselor in some capacity. Please know that I am leaving a part of my heart here at Clayton.

Sincerely, Nada Newcomb
