Welcome to Alliance Charter Elementary School.  Roosevelt, the island elementary school, has had a long standing tradition of excellence. We were excited to welcome Alliance to our building in the fall of 2004. With its five classrooms and Roosevelt's six classrooms, our school is full once again with the hustle and bustle of excited students and staff members in a wonderful learning environment.

Our commitment to excellence is evidenced in our outstanding teaching staff and support personnel, as well as dedicated parents and students. Our school provides students in grades K-5 with Montessori currriculum as well as keyboarding instruction.  A commitment to the Montessori philosophy promotes involvement and independence in learning for our students in a multi-aged classroom environment.  We support the district's balanced literacy program through our well stocked guided reading bookrooms, our RIF book giveaways, and other literacy activities including Scholastic Read Day, visiting storytellers, and our Slip Into Reading days.

The parents at our school are a very active and integral part of the education process. Our parent volunteers are plentiful, contributing their time for fundraising, school activities, and much more.  Involvement by parents in classroom activities is encouraged.  Monthly meetings of the Alliance Advisory Council provide parents with an opportunity for input into their school's program.

The Alliance School is quickly building a reputation for academic excellence in an environment which provides parents with an alternative choice for their child's education.  We welcome your interest and involvement.
