Neenah High School chemistry teacher Shelley Dorner has been named one of five inaugural winners of the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh CAPP Adjunct of the Year award.
Dorner is one of over 250 adjunct teachers in the CAPP program, which delivers a rigorous curriculum to high school students interested in earning concurrent high school and college credit. Adjuncts were nominated by their on-campus liaison.
“This award comes as no surprise as people in Neenah have been well aware of Shelley’s tremendous ability in the classroom for a long time.” said Neenah High School principal Brian Wunderlich. “She is a worthy recipient of this award for her work with the CAPP program and we are proud of her achievements.”
Dorner received her award at the CAPP spring workshop on April 13 in Oshkosh. Dorner is in her 18th year of teaching at Neenah High School. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Truman State University (Mo.) and a Master of Science degree from Purdue University.
