Magnet Program Informational Meeting and Registration Dates Set
< Back
A meeting for parents interested in enrolling their children in the Neenah Joint School District magnet program will be held on Nov. 10 at 5 p.m. in the Shattuck Middle School Auditorium.
The magnet classes serve students in grades 4-7 and are open to students from all schools in the District. Students benefitting from magnet classes are those who have demonstrated high levels of intellectual ability and reasoning skills. The magnet classes are designed to offer students opportunities to work at a greater depth and faster pace than in the regular education setting.
The informational meeting will answer questions about the magnet program and the registration process. Parents who wish to enroll their children in the program are not required to attend the meeting.
The registration deadline for enrollment in the magnet program will be Jan. 4. To register, a link will be available on the District website. Students who register will be selected for the program through a testing process. Tests for students in grades 5 and 6 will be held on Jan. 18-19 and tests for students in grades 3 and 4 will be held on Jan. 20-21. Testing takes place from 8-11:15 a.m. at the Administration Building and transportation is provided back to the schools.
