Spring Road Elementary Partners With Georgia Pacific for STEM Night
< Back
Spring Road Elementary School hosted a Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) Family Night in conjunction with Georgia Pacific on Nov. 13.
Georgia Pacific provided a grant and organized the event, while also working with Neenah Joint School District staff and arranging presentations. More than 200 students and family members attended.
The goal of the event was to increase public appreciation and understanding of STEM, create a family event that encourages communications and lifelong learning and promote a connection between parents, children, learning, and the school.
Students could use a notebook to help them visit over 17 activities and make notes on their experiments. There were more ideas to try at home, including websites to help explore further. The presenters included Georgia Pacific employees, NJSD staff members, community members, middle school students and high school students.
