Neenah High School’s Rocket Players will perform their winter production, the comedic drama “Chemical Bonding,” Feb. 6-8.
The play will feature a 7 p.m. showing each of the three nights and a 2 p.m. matinee on Feb. 8 for a total of four shows in Pickard Auditorium. Tickets are $5 for adults and students and will be available at the door.
“Chemical Bonding,” written by Janesville native Don Zolidis, is a heartfelt and hilarious comedic drama about a girl coming to grips with life after graduation. It is under the direction of high school teacher Jane Dix.
The play features high school class salutatorian Dani, who is scheduled to study photography at NYU in the fall and has a summer job working third shift at a small-town chemical factory. While her friends are preparing for college with road trips and Facebook updates, Dani struggles with her dissatisfying new job, a new relationship and a serious illness in her family. She begins to consider putting off college and only her eccentric support group of friends and family can persuade her to pursue her dreams.
