< Back
Neenah Joint School District parents, staff and community members are invited to view Human Growth and Development lesson plans and materials recommended for grades K-5 on Tuesday, June 12 from 4-8 p.m. at the Administration Building at 410 S. Commercial St.
In November 2017, the Neenah Joint School District Board of Education approved updates to the grade level objectives for Human Growth and Development grades K-12. Human Growth and Development is taught beginning in kindergarten and concludes as part of a half-credit health course at Neenah High School.
Topics taught in the Human Growth and Development curriculum include anatomy and physiology, puberty and adolescent development, identity, pregnancy and reproduction, sexually transmitted infections and HIV, healthy relationships and personal safety. Since last November, lesson plans and materials have been developed and materials identified to teach the objectives at each grade level.
