Neenah High School honored students for accomplishments in academics, athletics and music with senior awards presented during the graduation rehearsal on May 31.
Top senior academic awards were presented to Andrew Nunamaker for art, Kaitlyn Clark for business, Callie Hauerwas for English, Morgan McClone, Michaela Kegley and Nora Martin for family and consumer science, Tatiana Monterrosa for French, Collin Haese for math, Nate Zerrien and Megan Last for science and Lydia Englebreth for social studies.
Female Athlete of the Year honors went to Abby Rudolph, who participates in basketball and soccer. Other female athletes honored were Rachel Terry with the Lambert-Wisehart Memorial Trophy, Kate Dietzen with the Mel Northway Award and Morgan Schreck with the Kim Dodge Spirit Award. Marin Kelly and Katie Sukanen were honored as three-sport varsity athletes and Laura Kressin received a gold level award from U.S. Figure Skating.
Male Athlete of the Year honors were bestowed on Jack Kraus, who competed in baseball and hockey. Austin Belot won the Batterman Memorial Trophy, Colton Kaszuba received the Jerry Gollnick Award and Haese won the Mel Northway Award. Belot and Karsen Sherrick were honored as three-sport athletes. Carter Brown and Rudolph were recognized as Neenah’s nominees for the WIAA scholar athlete award.
In music, top student awards went to Jack Murphy in choir, Zerrien in orchestra, Grant Mauthe in band and Grayson Asbury in jazz. Kim Kemmpainen won the Neenah Community Band outstanding senior award and Asbury received the Community Band scholarship. Amber Hanson won the Semper Fidelis Band Award.
All other senior awards and scholarships were presented on the Senior Awards Night on May 17 or at other ceremonies through the presenting organizations.
