Moore Named Neenah Joint School District Wellness Coordinator
< Back
Employee wellness has been an area of focus for the Neenah Joint School District in recent years and it now has a new leader in Sara Moore.
Moore has been named the District Wellness Coordinator, replacing Kelly Kelderman, who recently resigned after nearly three years on staff. Moore began her duties on Jan. 11.
Moore earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from the University of Minnesota-Duluth and a Master’s Degree in Therapeutic Recreation from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse. She has served as an Associate Lecturer and Instructional Academic Staff member at UW-La Crosse. She has experience as a Behavior Therapist and Mental Health Professional and has worked with children on the autism spectrum.
The District has implemented many staff wellness initiatives and won several awards in recent years. A new Health and Wellness Center for employees opened this fall in cooperation with Prevea and the District is in its third year of using the Humana Go365 (formerly Vitality) incentive program. The District was one of 80 organizations or companies statewide to earn a Well Workplace Award from the Wellness Council of America in 2013. The District also placed third in the Fox Cities Marathon Business Challenge this past year for its number of participants in the event. The staff awards are in addition to numerous awards won by District schools for their wellness activities for students.
