Insurance Open Enrollment Due on November 18
|
All insurance information and forms may be accessed on the Insurance Benefits Information page of the NJSD staff website. Open enrollment paperwork is due to Jennifer Carstens in the benefits office Friday, November 18.
There are still five Open Enrollment meetings left to assist employees with filling out the paperwork and answering questions. See the dates, times and locations below.

Hall of Fame Committee Seeking Staff Member
|
The Neenah Joint School District Hall of Fame Committee is seeking one NJSD employee to fill an open position. The individual may come from any employee group and is expected to have a knowledge of and passion for Neenah history and an open mind. The committee has two mandatory meetings in January and February with other meetings as needed during the year and the banquet on Homecoming weekend. This individual would serve through June 2018 with the option to renew for a three-year term. NJSD Hall of Fame Nominations Now Open
|
Nominations for the Neenah Joint School District Hall of Fame are being accepted through Nov. 30. Anyone is invited to nominate individuals for the third annual induction class, which will be inducted during homecoming weekend in 2017.
In order to submit a nomination, individuals may go to the NJSD Hall of Fame website. Nominations may be made through an online form. The nomination form can also be printed and submitted through the mail or in-person at the District Administration Building at 410 S. Commercial Street.
The Hall of Fame is open to anyone who graduated from Neenah High School or had an association or employment with the District. It is designed to recognize individuals from a variety of different backgrounds. The only requirements are that nominees must be graduated from Neenah High School for at least 20 years or retired from the District for at least five years.

Girls Volleyball Team Captures State Championship
|
Neenah captured its first WIAA state girls volleyball championship since 1978 with a three-set sweep of Burlington on Saturday at the Resch Center in Green Bay.
The Rockets were making their 14th trip to state and sixth appearance in the title match. Neenah won the match by scores of 25-17, 25-23, 25-10. The Rockets scored the last five points of the first set and opened the third set with an 11-2 run.
Neenah finished the season 46-4 and won 28 of its last 29 matches. The Rockets avenged their only loss during that span by beating FVA rival Appleton North in a five-set thriller in the quarterfinals. They followed with a sweep of Sun Prairie in the semifinals.

High School to Hold Veterans Day Ceremony
|
Neenah High School will recognize local veterans with a Veterans Day celebration in Pickard Auditorium on Nov. 11. The event is open to the public and begins at 1:30 p.m. with doors opening at 1 p.m. Neenah High School graduate and recent West Point gradaute Tom Huxtable will provide an address. Band, choir and orchestra students from Neenah High School will perform and veterans in attendance will be recognized.

Act II to Host Holiday Vendor Fair on November 12
|
Act II show choir will host a holiday vendor fair and bake sale on Saturday, November 12 from noon-3 p.m. in the high school cafeteria. There is no admission fee and specialty vendors include: Isagenix, Keep Collective, LuLaRoe, Norwex, Pampered Chef, Premier Design Jewelry, Rodan & Fields, Scentsy, Tastefully Simple, Thirty One, Worth and Young Living.

Chilton Arts Integration Series Events Scheduled
|
Students, teachers, professors and community members are invited to learn from and collaborate with nationally and internationally renowned teaching artists through the Chilton Arts Integration Series. The series will explore the art forms of poetry, vocal performance and drama. There is little or no cost for these events.
