Neenah Hosts FVA Dig For the Cure Volleyball Tournament Oct. 18
< Back
The seventh annual Fox Valley Association “Dig for the Cure” volleyball event will be held at Neenah High School’s Ron Einerson Fieldhouse on Oct. 18. The event is a fundraiser among all 10 Fox Valley Association schools to help raise money and awareness for breast cancer.
The matches start at 8:30 a.m. and run all day with each team playing at least five matches. The championship match is anticipated around 4 p.m. The 10 schools will be split into two pools of five and each team will play four matches before a break at 12:30 p.m. when Dr. Michelle Kollermeier, a breast cancer survivor, will share her story with the fans and student-athletes.
Admission for the entire day is $4 for adults and $2 for students. A basket raffle will be held with all proceeds benefitting Fox Valley area breast cancer patients through the Pink Party Breast Cancer Foundation (www.pinkparty1.com).
The FVA “Dig for the Cure” has raised over $70,000 since its inception in 2007. Many local businesses have made cash donations or prize donations to the basket raffle to support this event. Neenah is hosting the event for the first time.
