Who is Eligible for Transportation?
Beginning with the 2016-17 school year, any student who resides more than two miles from school or is forced to navigate an unusually hazardous area is eligible for transportation. Students requiring certain special education services are also eligible. If an elementary student is forced by the District to attend a school outside of his/her normal attendance boundary, the student is eligible for transportation.
Students who opt to attend an elementary school other than their assigned school or who attend Alliance Charter Elementary are not eligible for transportation. Open enrolled students who reside in other districts are also not eligible.
