The Neenah Joint School District is introducing a new web service called Schoology. Schoology is a learning management system (LMS) designed to foster student achievement and engagement in this modern age of one-to-one devices in classrooms. Schoology is a platform for digital collaboration and communication between instructional staff, students, and parents.
Teachers are able to post assignments, tests, quizzes, discussions, and other activities online within their courses, allowing students to work individually or collaboratively whenever and wherever they are, even from home. Parents are able to have their own Schoology account that gives them the ability to view school news, their child’s or children’s classroom participation and turned in work, and view school coming events and assignment due dates.
Parents must create their own account using a personalized Parent Access Code generated from their child's enrollment in NJSD courses. This access code is distributed by the school in which the student attends.
Parents will need to use a web browser to navigate to http://schoology.com to set up or log in to their accounts. Feel free to downlaod this Schoology Parent Reference Handbook. Below are some helpful videos to assist parents in getting started:
We will be rolling out parent access after the end of the first quarter of 2014 for all buildings except our pilot building, Horace Mann Middle School.
Students and teachers will log in at using this web address: http://schoology.neenah.k12.wi.us
