Instructional Technology

NJSD is committed to providing digital tools and media to engage students in the learning process, help students experience academic success, and to foster long-term skills needed in the workplace and personal life.

Students at NJSD have a variety of opportunities to experience educational technology at its best. Students in grades 6-12 are all issued a Chromebook computer for use both at school and off campus.  Students in grades 3-5 are all issued individual iPad Air tablets.  Every PD-2 classroom has a set of iPad tablets available to use in class every day.

Students are using the latest in professional productivity, design, and collaboration software. NJSD employs public cloud based resources including Google Apps for Education, Schoology (Learning Management System) iCloud, etc. NJSD also uses private cloud technology like Infinite Campus (Student Information System)  These digital tools provide access to instructional resources and software from both District-issued computers and any modern personal computing device with Internet access.

We hope you can use these pages to find answers to your questions about district and classroom technology. If you have questions, please don't hesitate to contact Matt Anderson, Director of Instructional Technology.
